The Essential Work of Serving God

Those who serve God must cooperate with God’s work. They are to do the work of actually guiding God’s chosen people completely under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. What is the essential work of serving God? The essential work of serving God is guiding God’s chosen people to enter into and experience God’s work. It is to have a genuine understanding of one’s own corrupt essence within God’s word. It is to have a genuine understanding of the truths that God expresses within God’s word and to have a genuine understanding of God based on God’s word. In the end, it is to achieve salvation. This is the essential work of serving God. How is it determined whether what one who serves God does is in accordance with God’s will? This should be determined based on whether God’s chosen people have entered into the reality of God’s word under this person’s guidance. It is based on whether they have a genuine understanding of their own corrupt essence. It is based on whether one’s viewpoint has changed in a genuine manner. It is based on how much real understanding one has about all the truth that God expresses. It is based on whether one has a genuine understanding of God and God’s work. Whether God’s chosen people have attained these prerequisites can form the basis for determining how someone who serves God does at their work. Determining whether someone who serves God is serving in accordance with God’s will is mainly based on these few aspects. Some people have done several years of work as a leader. When it comes to truths related to vision, such as God’s work, the meaning of God’s incarnation and how God intends to save people, God’s chosen people under those people have a clear understanding of them. In the face of the deceptions and disturbance of all sorts of evil spirits, false Christs and antichrists, they will not waver nor will they back down. They believe in God with certainty and they have the will to seek the truth and salvation. If they can achieve these kinds of results, it is sufficient evidence that they have done the practical work of a leader, and have achieved desired results in God’s chosen people. Additionally, one also has to take note of whether God’s chosen people have a genuine understanding of their own corrupt essence. If the people that they guide have a genuine understanding of their own corrupt essence, if they have an understanding of all the aspects of their own corruption and if they have an understanding of their nature and essence, and because of this understanding, they find it necessary and realistic to seek the truth and pursue salvation, and so they can pursue the truth, eat and drink God’s word normally, and increasingly have an understanding of the truth, this is also evidence that the work of these leaders is achieving the proper results and that it is completely in accordance with God’s will. If, after some leaders have done the work for 5-8 years, the people under their leadership will have a genuine change in their viewpoints, and some of these people who are exceptionally pursuing the truth also have experienced some changes to their life disposition, and all those who pursue the truth will have a solid understanding of God’s work and His disposition, this is sufficient in affirming that these leaders are serving in accordance to God’s will and that their service has indeed achieved satisfactory results. These are the criteria when it comes to determining whether someone who serves God has done the essential work that God entrusted them to do. If they have really done the essential work God has entrusted them to do, the results can be seen in God’s chosen people. This is the criterion for evaluating a leader.

The Essential Work of Serving God

Of those who serve God, why are there some people who can be perfected by God? Why is it that there are some who cannot be perfected but instead are eliminated? This is determined based on whether someone has a heart that loves God. It is very important for someone that serves God to have a heart that truly loves God. Whether someone has a heart that truly loves God determines whether this person will be perfected by God. What kind of signs does someone who truly loves God exhibit? Someone who truly loves God is always seeking how to fulfill their duties and how to serve God in order to satisfy Him. They are very serious when it comes to fulfilling their duties. They are always wondering, “How should I fulfill my duties to meet God’s requirements and will? What are the duties or work that God has entrusted me to do? What is the essential work when it comes to serving God? What work needs to be done so that God’s chosen people will enter onto the proper path and attain salvation? What work is not related to the salvation of God’s chosen people? What work, on the contrary, obstructs or restrains God’s chosen people from entering into the life?” These people are serious when it comes to these matters. After a period of fulfilling duties, those who truly love God will be able to feel out God’s will and know what is the essential work that God has entrusted them with. They will know what work they are required to do. There are many people who serve God who never know what the most crucial work is. They also do not know what work they must perform so that God’s chosen people will enter onto the proper path. They always base their analysis on human notions and imagination. The result is that they do a lot of useless things. All those who preach letters and doctrines belong to this group of people. All those who do external things, which are not involved with the life and the truth, belong to this group of people. They are not able to distinguish what work is essential when it comes to serving God. That is why they rely on their own imagination. They think that in speaking of doctrines and letters to get God’s chosen people to follow this or that rule or to do this or that task, if they themselves are satisfied, then God is also satisfied. The result is that even after they have done a few years of work, God’s chosen people do not understand any of the truth. They do not have any understanding of God and their life dispositions have not changed at all. It is only at this point that they discover that the work they have done is useless and that it is inessential when it comes to serving God. What group do these people belong to? They are people who are blindly walking along their path. It is the blind leading the blind. Eventually, everyone falls into a hole. They do not look where they are going. They do not know that God’s chosen people believe in God to attain salvation. They do not know what truths they must enter so that they can attain salvation. They do not know what they need to have in order to attain salvation. They are not serious when it comes to these matters. They do not know what work they must do in order to attain salvation. They think that as long as they follow the rules, they will achieve salvation. They think that as long as they adhere to religious notions, they will attain salvation. Isn’t this an absurd man? This is someone who is running around blindly. This kind of person who serves God is blind. Those who truly love God are especially hardworking when it comes to analyzing these matters. What do they think about every day? They are always reflecting on themselves after they finish a part of their work, “Today I communicated this aspect of the truth. Have I communicated this clearly? Has my work today achieved the desired effect? It is no good if I believe that my work was effective. This is not the criterion. I must ask my brothers and sisters and see what kind of response they have. I must ask them what they are thinking and feeling inside.” As a result, they are always able to deeply understand their brothers’ and sisters’ situation. They may ask, “How do you feel after having listened to this? Is this correct? Is it helpful to you at all? Please, do tell me the truth.” If this person’s brothers and sisters say that the work is helpful, they will further inquire as to whether it is a majority of people that are saying so, or a minority. If a majority of people feel this way, they can be sure that their work has at least some value and that it is work that is of an essential nature. If the majority of people feel that there is no edification or benefit to them after listening to it, these individuals will sum up lessons and no longer do this kind of work. Since they seriously seek the truth in everything when it comes to matters related to serving God, in the end, they will obtain accurate answers and know what they should say and what they should supply. They know what people are truly lacking. In the areas that people are truly lacking, they supplement and equip themselves with the truth so that they can truly provide for their brothers and sisters. In this manner, the fulfillment of their duties and their service to God increasingly produces results and becomes more and more in line with God’s will. This is why those who truly love God always think, “If I do this, would it satisfy God? Satisfying my brothers’ and sisters’ needs and requirements in terms of their spiritual life is equivalent to truly satisfying God. If I am unable to satisfy my brothers’ and sisters’ needs and requirements, then I have not satisfied God.” They see this matter very clearly. This is why they ask their brothers and sisters for their feedback after they have done some work. They ask if their brothers and sisters have any opinions or any requirements. They encourage them to provide feedback. They say, “If you find that what I do has any deficiencies or if there are any areas that you find unsatisfactory, please let me know right away.” If someone does their work in this way, what does this indicate? It indicates that this person is satisfying God’s heart and is considerate of God’s heart. It indicates that this person is serious when it comes to their service and the fulfillment of their duties. It indicates that their criterion is whether or not it satisfies God’s will. Suppose that this person is not serious when it comes to serving God. Instead, this person is muddleheaded and careless. They do whatever they want to do. They do whatever they think is suitable to do. They do not care whether their brothers and sisters are satisfied and they do not care whether their actions benefit them. They blindly do things according to their own imagination. This is not a person who is considerate of God’s will and therefore, is unable to satisfy God. Regardless of what level you are at in terms of leadership in God’s family, you must pay attention to how you communicate to your brothers and sisters. This involves how you give your response to the brothers and sisters when they are experiencing difficulties. It involves how you provide or communicate to them when your brothers and sisters hold an erroneous viewpoint and do not have a genuine understanding in certain things. It also involves how you resolve the issues of your brothers and sisters’ corruption. These matters are crucial. These things are all related to the essential work of serving God. If you do not do this work properly, then you will not have any spiritual stature. It can be said that this indicates that you do not understand God’s will and you do not know what God’s demands are. Some people who serve God are confused when they hear of “the essential work of serving God.” They think, “Is there essential work, or such a concept of essential work when it comes to serving God? Isn’t all the work of serving God essential? Isn’t all of this work necessary? Why is there a need to differentiate some of this work as essential?” There are some people who do not even understand this. What is the basis for this concept? It’s because there are many people who do not know how to do practical work. When they serve God, they do not talk about how they know their corrupt essence. They do not talk about how they experience God’s word and how they enter God’s word. They do not talk about the process of their understanding God’s word, the truth. They do not talk about their genuine understanding of God, much less talk about what a change in one’s life disposition is all about. They never talk about what it is to genuinely bear witness for God and to serve God. These truths that God’s chosen people must enter into are also the most basic truths. They never talk about this or they talk very little about it. The result is that God’s chosen people do not understand these truths even after many years of faith. Now, would you say their service is up to standard? Is it in accordance with God’s will? It is completely deviated from God’s will. These few things are the most basic elements. They are truths that God’s chosen people must enter, yet they do not talk about them at all and they do not understand them at all. This is sufficient to indicate that this person who thus serves God has not entered onto the proper path. They have not entered the truth and do not have any practical experience. If they have not done any of this, then how are they to lead God’s chosen people into the reality of the truth? If someone who serves God never talks about how they understand their corrupt essence or if they do not even have a true understanding of this, then how are they to lead God’s chosen people in understanding their own corrupt essence? These people who serve God have never understood what it means to bear witness for God. They do not understand true witnessing and true obedience. How are they to guide God’s chosen people into becoming people who obey God and bear witness for God? These people do not know what the essential work of serving God is. This is why their service will never satisfy God’s will. This kind of person should be eliminated because they do not have any reality at all.

It is Very Important for People to Serve God to Love God

Serving God is the most honorable work there is. Receiving the call of serving God is life’s most fortunate things. Those who serve God must love God because only those who love God can be perfected by God and can obtain God’s promise and blessings. Those who serve God but do not love God are destined to be punished. All those who seek blessings or power in their service of God are antichrists and must be punished. Paul and Peter are excellent examples. Paul is a classic example of someone that walked the path of the antichrist and received punishment. Peter is a model of someone who sought an understanding of God and was able to satisfy God and be perfected by God due to his love for God. Peter and Paul are a good and a bad example for God’s chosen people as they experience God’s work in the last days. The path that people take is entirely up to them. The path of Peter and that of Paul were completely different paths by two very different people. Peter was someone who loved God while Paul was someone that did not love God. Those who love God love the truth. Peter loved the truth, that is why Peter sought to be perfected by God. What Paul loved was knowledge, status and power. That is why Paul did not get perfected by God. Instead, he was punished by God. The key to being perfected by God lies in the path that people choose to take. Paul and Peter were two completely different people that walked two completely different paths. Peter was a positive man. He had conscience and sense. He particularly loved the truth and God. From the deeds that Peter did, we can see that Peter had a heart that loves God from the moment that he started believing in God. He was someone that sought the truth. When Jesus was spreading the gospel, Peter was among the people who most desired to follow Jesus. Peter heard that the sermon Jesus preached involved the way of the kingdom of heaven and that only through listening to His sermons could one enter the kingdom of heaven and understand God. As a result, Peter looked for Jesus everywhere to follow Him. What Paul focused on in his faith was knowledge and status. He followed the upper ranks of the Jewish religion. When Paul heard Jesus’ sermons, instead of seeking Jesus, he convicted and judged Jesus. We can see this from the cases of Paul resisting God. Both Paul and Peter believed in God, however, their attitudes toward Jesus were different. One followed and thirsted for Jesus. The other judged, resisted and even hunted down Jesus. These two people’s attitudes toward Jesus were completely different. Their attitudes were what completely differentiated them from each other. Paul is a kind of person that innately loved status, knowledge, fame and profit. He was very self-interested and would specifically curry favor with people in the upper ranks of the Jewish society or people that had power and influence. He blindly trusted in power and knowledge. He was completely different from the likes of Peter and John. Peter and John, on the other hand, liked to witness the appearance of God. They loved people who have the truth. At first, they did not know that Jesus was God incarnate. However, after they heard of the miracles that Jesus performed, they admired and thirsted for Him. They did not give up following Jesus because of His lowly family and status. Instead, they followed and thirsted for Jesus because what He spoke of was the truth and the way of the kingdom of heaven. From these matters, we can see that the attitude that people have toward Jesus and the path that He proclaimed is completely representative of a person’s nature and essence. Today, God has been incarnated to do the work of the last days. He has come to express the truth in its entirety. All the people of the religious world who believe in God have heard that Almighty God has arrived. Eastern Lightning has emerged. However, people’s attitudes and opinions are not the same. Some people are comparatively thirsty, so they say, “Since someone has said that God has arrived, I must investigate this. Since someone has said that Almighty God expresses the truth, I must listen a bit and see if it really is the truth.” Other people are not the same. Once they hear that Almighty God has arrived, they blindly condemned it as a false way, saying that He is a deceiver and a false Christ. The attitudes, perspectives and decisions of people are not the same. That is why whether someone can be perfected and achieve salvation is completely reliant on that person’s nature or essence. Which kind of people you belong to determine the path you take. Evil people cannot love the truth. Paul was an evil person and that was why he did not love the truth. What was it that Paul loved? He loved knowledge, doctrine, academics, status and reputation. He is the same as the people today in the religious world. Whichever pastor has a diploma, accreditation or whoever has a Ph.D. is the one that they will listen to and follow. What they worship is knowledge and status. Peter and John did not worship knowledge and status. What they worshiped originated from God and the Holy Spirit. They chose to follow and acknowledge all that the Holy Spirit bore witness to and all that originated from God. On what basis do you think can a person make their decisions? Based on their nature and essence. People’s nature and essences are not the same and the paths that they choose are definitely not the same. Everyone has listened to the path of truth and to God’s voice; why is it that the paths that people take are not the same? People have received the same watering; why is it that some people understand the truth while other people are incapable of understanding the truth? Why is it that some people seek to be perfected by God yet others seek status and reputation? Why is it that the decisions that people make are not the same? This is based on people’s nature or essence. If someone has Satan’s nature, they would not love the truth even if you encourage them to do so. Even if you discourage them not to seek status, you will be unsuccessful. That is why the path that people take is based on what their essence is like. Peter chose the path of loving God, satisfying God and pursuing to understand God. Did God directly tell him to do this? Did God force him to take this path? No. Peter chose this himself. God has said that Peter was very sensible, clever and bright. He was also honest. The path that Peter took and the witness that he performed can verify it. Peter was very sensible and he paid a lot of attention to reality. From the things Peter said and did, we can see that he paid particular attention to practical entry. He did not talk about empty theories nor did he use superficial words. Paul was not like this at all. He specifically talked about profound revelations and mysteries. He talked about ruling as kings and how to obtain the crown of righteousness. Peter talked about realistic and practical matters. These are all things that normal people who are conscientious and sensible should focus on and can attain. We can see that Peter’s entering and seeking is representative of someone who genuinely loves God and it represents the normal seeking of a person who is conscientious and sensible. We can see from the service of Paul and Peter that they took two very different paths. The path that Peter took involved seeking to love God and seeking to be perfected by God. The path that Paul took involved seeking knowledge, status and rewards. How should we decide when it comes to these two paths? Which path should we take? This is a decision that everyone who accepts God’s work must face. This decision is very crucial. It can be said that this decision leads to a person’s final destination in the very end. This is not an insignificant matter.
